Dr. Maria Relente-Santos is an internal medicine physician with extensive experience in patient care, diagnostics, and treatment planning. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Public Health cum laude from the University of the Philippines, Manila, and her medical degree from the University of the East Ramon Magsaysay Medical Center in Quezon City, Philippines. Dr. Relente-Santos completed internal medicine residencies at both Veterans Memorial Medical Center in the Philippines, where she served as assistant chief resident, and Richmond University Medical Center in Staten Island, New York. She is board certified by the Philippine Specialty Board of Internal Medicine and ECFMG certified. Dr. Relente-Santos has led quality improvement initiatives, including a project that reduced unnecessary C. difficile testing by 42%, and has spearheaded medical missions serving hundreds of patients.
